Global Training Manager, Mining and Rock Excavation Service (MRS)

 

Job description

Following the creation of the new organization within Global Training, Mining and Rock Excavation Service Division (MRS), and consequently the merging of the previous divisional resources, we have identified the need for a Global Training Manager. In this role, you will lead the team of Project Managers and Simulator Product Managers. The MRS division has very ambitious targets for training and competence development, and you will be in the driver’s seat to make a quantum leap in this field. The MRS division has more than 3,000 service technicians globally that is a focus for competence development.

 

Mission

The successful candidate will report to the Vice President – Service Operations, MRS, and be responsible for the global training operations from regional and PC hubs. This will include, but is not limited to, the following:
Manage the team of Project Managers and Simulator Product Managers, based out of the MRS hubs.
Responsible for the product portfolio of training products for both internal and external users.
Define and implement training classes for the different roles within Part & Services, in close cooperation with HR.
With customer input, develop training products that supports customer safety and productivity requirements in a measurable way.
Commercialize training to a business, in line with divisional growth targets.
Be overall responsible for simulator development towards key partners and other stakeholders both internally and externally, ensuring simulators fully support business development.
Build a regional training organization based on the hub concept and regional training centers.
Support regional business managers and Customer Centers in their selling efforts for technical and operator training and related products.
Secure that training is conducted in compliance with legal and other local regulations. Implement and develop our training policies and procedures.
Define and implement a standard set of KPIs for competence development.
The above is to be done in close cooperation with other departments and colleagues, both locally and internationally.

Knowledge and experience

Good understanding of Parts & Services processes, both in Customer Centers and Product Companies, and the different needs for competence development.
Proven experience to develop a business, preferably in the competence development area.
You are a leader with international experience and ability to work within a global organization.
People management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent command of English (other languages are an advantage).

The ideal candidate has: Strong business, communication, project and pedagogical skills A passion for training and competence development.
An understanding of the need for excellent communication to reach out in a global organization.
A passion for the service business, with a high focus on the results and speed to market. A creative, open and entrepreneurial attitude towards new ideas, and a good understanding of process development for lasting results.
You must be willing to travel extensively to hubs, Customer Centers and customers globally.
