Right now we are looking for a Specialist within System Simulations

Job description and mission

Applied Mechanics simulation engineering services are used throughout Epiroc. As a specialist within system simulations you have a possibility to work together with other specialists and engineers within Epiroc to develop platforms for system simulations and propose validation activities. Your main job tasks are to develop work methods to improve the degree of innovation, shorten lead times and front-load system requirement verifications in our product development projects. You will propose and realize digital twins for effective product lifecycle analytics of our installed fleet by pre-training our advanced analytics services. This in order to maximize productivity of our customers and improve maintenance planning. In order to succeed with the above, it is required that you can guide the organization towards co-simulation of control, mechanics, hydraulics and electrical systems.

Experience & knowledge requirements

The person we’re looking for holds an M.Sc. or equivalent within mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent, preferably with a specialization towards simulation engineering or control systems, or equivalent experience. Experience of working within system simulations and relevant simulation software is required. Knowledge within MATLAB Simulink, MSC ADAMS, ANSYS Mechanical and practical experience of our products is advantageous. You are experienced working with MS-based applications such as Word and Excel. Good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken, is a requirement for this role. English is our corporate language and is used to a large extent and we therefore expect you to be fluent in English.

Personality requirements

To succeed in the role as specialist within system simulations, it is required that you are able to communicate your state-of-the-art knowledge in a clear and consistent way. You are analytical, creative and a team-player. You have the ability to understand new development projects holistically and are eager to continuously propose and drive basic development projects within your speciality. You are also ambitious, communicative and have the ability to explain your views in technical matters.
